At Your Language Connection, we’ve never been just a business. We work to connect you to the best language professionals in our area, and in doing so, we create a dense web of connections to our local Lancaster community. Many of our linguists partner with us while also using their talents in other fields, and also running their own businesses. Allow me to introduce you to two of them.
Maria Vanesa Utz is a clinical psychologist and music educator. Living now in the Lancaster area, she comes to us from Paraguay, and she has over 22 years of experience supporting children’s development through early education and therapeutic practice. She designs and leads clinical spaces where music becomes a powerful tool for emotional expression, regulation, and connection especially for children with neurological and developmental differences.
As a university teacher, leader of national sociocultural programs, and Founder & CEO of EducArt® Center, she has created an intercultural hub offering bilingual music and movement programs grounded in both pedagogical and therapeutic approaches to transform learning. With experience training and inspiring educators across 12 countries, she is recognized for her dynamic leadership and her commitment to building bridges between education, art, and mental health.
Anjalika Shrestha KC is a resident of Lancaster who is originally from Nepal. Her passion for serving her community led her to begin contracting with Your Language Connection five years ago. She shines in her talents for interpreting in English, Nepali and Hindi.
Anjalika also works at Everest Grocery, where she helps connect customers to the spices, breads, fruits, vegetables and other foods that remind people of places both home and far away. She also serves the community as Vice President of the Nepalese Association of Lancaster, PA, a local non-profit.
